Dagger Fencing

Walka na szpady z elektrycznymi lewakami. Używamy tu, jak zwykle, rejestratora Virtual Scoring Machine (laptop w tle). W tej walce użyliśmy czasów szpady sportowej więc było kilka trafień obopólnych i kilka trafień spóźnionych.

Nie jest to, co prawda, bardzo realistyczne odwzorowanie rapiera ale przynajmniej zabawa przednia!

Our epee & dagger bout using the Virtual Scoring Machine (that laptop in the background). We're using sport epee timing sets so there are some double hits and some post-lockout hits.

It's not the most realistic way of emulating rapier play but it's very entertaining nonetheless!

@TheEpeeist1 All in all I think that competetive fencers would be at least interested that someone took their time to try something new in fencing instead of mindlessly spewing bile in the comments of some random fencing vids.. ಠ_ಠ

@jbujko thank you for your offer. I understand it is for fun. I simply do not want it to be confused with the style of fencing I was trained in. Modern Olympic.

@TheEpeeist1 Not really; you were trained in sport, not Olympic, fencing which by itself is a branch of a whole set of things known as "fencing". The fencing on the vid is a recreational/historical fencing practiced for entertainment so unless you provide some insight about your own impeccable style of fencing I suggest you take your ramblings somewhere else..

It's a form of epee, so I think they would both get a point.

Also, they are special "Y-chords". I know physical chess sells them, and I presume Leon Paul and the others do too.

Okay, are you using a split epee body cord? or two separate body cords?

@LancetFencing However normally we use the VSM on a custom settings - we decrease the lockout time to 2ms so it's practically whoever hits first scores and we ignore the double touches within the 2ms :)

I think it's much more fun that way - simple rules let you concentrate on the bout more
