@spiderpeirce1 No it doesn't. Your head is pinned to his chest, if your head was beside his ribs, then you could potentially get guillotined. You just have to be careful when going for takedowns
@19971231000 It's not a bad MMA takedown. He's shooting MMA stle, to avoid the guillotine, etc. Not for folkstyle. McGivern, BTW, is an Iowa Hawkeye and better wrestler than most in MMA or the sport of wrestling. Maybe even better than a 13 year old.
I am leaning more towards the boxer (in the short run) due to having a less technique-oriented style. Thus, it isn't as dependent on regular training compared to Jujitsu/Wrestling.
Imo it takes a lot more effort/training to be a decent MMA fighter compared to a boxer. There's a lot more you have to train to defend against, so a boxer has the edge in the beginning due to having a simpler/easier to apply style.
@MrTortilla1220 Than you've never seen a proffesional boxer. Or been hit by one. When you see one ask him to hit you as hard as possible. Than ask a professional MMA fighter to hit you. You will eat those words.
First, I respect mma-fighters and ufc-fighters! Second, don't underestimate boxers, its one of the few martalarts that actually works! Not like that jean claude van damm-/movie-crap! Third, take one step to the right, as he comes in for the takedown, and serve him a hook or uppercut, thats how a boxer deals with a takedown!!

@TheHammerHeadxX
I would say it depends more on the fighter.
