What a surprise to hear a guards band playing a S A march. I used to play this march with the Los Angeles Congress Hall band (California USA) many years ago. The first strain melody is actually written as a cornet solo.

I've heard the Scots Guards Band play another well known Salvation Army march,"Under Two Flags", by the late Colonel Bramwell Coles. Brilliant!
