The collision of two 747 at Tenerife in 1977 in which 583 people died. 2006 a B737 collided with a Legacy jet over the Brazilian Amazon 154 died. Although separated by time and place, a contributory factor in both accidents was a lack of English proficiency on the part of flight crews or controllers.

I believe that the use of a single language (English) in air traffic control will help to improve crews situational awareness and avoid other communication problems. Air Safety is paramount

The right controller... He cleares the airplane, when the pilot gives him the readback, he just dont listened. after this, he said, that the readback was correct. how does he know? ;)

If you are looking for handheld plug and play microphones with working PTT and good sound quality, send me a mail and I will send you some pictures :-) I have adapted microphones to work with computers and the PTT is fully compatible with Teamspeak with no delay. From the adaptor there are two cores - USB for the PTTs and minijack for the voice.
