I like Fanfiction, but I believe if you are doing one based on an anime, you should always fallow the storyline and charcter plots that te anime fallows. Like, putting a magical kawaii desu charcter in Death Note or something, it doesnt work XDDDD

Unless the series is very open end. Take Disgaea for example. Each game virtually ignores the previous, showing a whole new cast, races, etc. An original plot helps.

I have my own OC. So, far, no one has screamed "Mary Sue!!!!!!!!!!!!!" he has no powers, however. And he's there as the main source of sarcasm. But, there are many out there, so I definatley understand your point. I'm no perfect writer myself, but I do believe OC's deserve a chance.

@Chupa1997Girl I can sympathize. I do the same thing. But if I love the character enough, I fine-tune it to add flaws, weaknesses, ect. And then I ask for someone elses opinion so I can tune it some more.
