"The Mary Whitehouse Experience" was a BBC TV programme from January 1991, and adapted from the radio series of the same name. For some reason it has never been repeated or released (either on VHS or DVD), so I'm putting them up here to share the love (until I get told off by The Man(tm) of course - let's hope I don't).

It's pretty dated now (a lot of the show makes reference to people and events from the time it was filmed, and that's nearly 20 years ago now), but there are a few bits that still remain funny even today.

This is the first part of series 1, episode 1 - featuring (listing from TV.com - http://www.tv.com/the-mary-whitehouse-experience/series-1-episode-1/episode/5...
I) Opening monologue(s): Germany
II) Crimestoppers: Stolen Car Stereos
III) "The Transport Experience": Public Transport, A-Z's - The Nicholson Street Finder, Car Mechanics - Alain Prost in a Ford Grenada, The Channel Tunnel - The Great Escape

  • Please sign the online petition to get the BBC to released TMWE on DVD

  • Shit piss bugger cunt

  • Wow, how young do they all look! I don't think I had a single conversation in the early 90s that didn't have at least one quote in it from this show! Thanks for uploading.

  • I'd like to add my undying thanks for uploading this series; however, was there a sketch missing at the start here? The rewind at the end of the show suggests it was Newman as Antoine de Caunes in a Rapido parody, something about burning sheep... anyway, other than that thanks again for the memories!

  • My thanks too. It was a great show - while it lasted.
