  • How would you deal with media and validity and truthfulness of information? I personally would make it a requirement for news programs to call themselves Informative Entertainment Shows. Those wanting to be labeled as News Programs would need to tell the whole truth without any sexy words and those who spread misinformation would be prosecuted for a violation of human rights for misinforming people.

Yeah, I'd be a tough bastard. How about you?

  • Since you don't want to tell people what to say a labeling system is probably a good way to go. There is still potential bias applying the labels but I think that can be addressed by defining clear metrics for the label.

I do support regulation of truth in news and advertising. To claim to be telling people facts should require certain standards.

  • well said i agree.

  • good vid. pyrrho...

     Like this 1.

  • Violence is tough in that there is a very broad spectrum and it's often subjective. The thing that turned me off pacifism was Myanmar when the monks protested and got slaughtered to no avail. Juxtaposed with the Cuban revolution. I don't side with violence either, as they say, an eye for an eye will make us all blind, but of course it would also make us all equal.

Just thought I'd chip in :)

  • i thought the philosophy of conflict was really good. i liked this too.

i would like to her more about the conflict tho. im a pacifist, but i cant deny the violent problems of the world. its a topic even the intellects are still hacking away at. maybe we can figure somethings out?

  • Just a humble guy, livin' in Mississippi.

:) Do U know how to play guitar? pyrrho.

  • One comment I would make about you pyrrho is that although I do not agree with you on all of your ideas, you do not hide your meaning in weaselly semantic games. You seem to me to be always trying for clarity in your words and in your thoughts and I think this is the mark of a true thinker. Confusion is the enemy of critical thought. For a relativist you are unique in this regard. Most relativist postmods tend to regard philosophy as an exercise of obfuscation and confusion. In my opinion.

  • Great video.
