ALMOST CHOSEN

Am I chosen by God?
That remains to be seen.
What choice have I made?
To serve God for room and board.

To say "I am chosen,"
One is finished with the task
Of seeking perfection in
any earthly direction.

Better to be forever pending
on God's A-list
Lest complacency erodes
my will to serve.

A beginner's mind and
a childlike heart
Are the tools at hand.
Every dawn a new start.

This way I am not tempted
by corrupting power
Nor distracted, making
plans for each hour.

Caretaking and showing
a very different way,
I know that convincing
is not for today.

I will place my rock
on the cairn as I pass
Building a landmark
for others that seek.

The strangers and I
are in union, apart
Putting together functional art
for a planet peopled by meek.

Wayshower, firstwaver,
Big fat jerk;
I have many names
as I continue the work.

ON the day I am "perfect"
It will no longer be "me"
I AM what I am:
Light living FREE.

@PeterSiNeh hugs are free and a wonderful way to let someone know how you feel about them.. says a lot more than words sometimes.. its a chance you take.. the other person may ridicule the gift of the heart you give them because they think its un required. I pray that when it is given in the future my heart and soul will have the wisdom to know if it is worth it. have a wonderful day /night with your heart mate/soulmate bear hug mate. most sincerely.
