This video captures my short stay at New Hope Center Orphanage in Swaziland, Africa- Febuary 2009. New Hope was founded by the prominent Dr. Elizabeth Hynd and is serves as a children's home for orphans, street kids and abandoned children (many of whom have HIV AIDS). These children have horrific pasts and have watched their parents and guardians die from this fatal disease. They have watched their households change due to poverty and death but their story doesnt end there. In New Hope, they find love, acceptance and God.
I had the most significant experience of my life working with these kids and if you ever get a chance to visit, you won't come back the same. I adopted a family there.... and you will too.
My prayer is that New Hope will grow to be a source of light in Swaziland, I pray that the Abraham children (all the children have the last name Abraham, who is the spiritual father of their home) will grow to be agents of change, vessels of hope and strength to be the people God has chosen them to be.
