No, I don't coat it with anything. I've used wallpaper samples and dog food bags so far and both have a coating on them already. But, these are not for every day use and they will bang up pretty easily. I don't make very many of them and they are selling for over $300, so they are really more like wearable art than an everyday purse.

Cute! Do you coat the purse with anything -- like with clear vinyl or plastic? How do you keep the purse from getting wet or tearing?
