@SilenceIKissYou They were humane to the jews as well. only problem is at the end of the war brittain was bombing german supply trains, so they couldnt supply the jewish camps with food and medical supplies. so they became very skinny and sick, and many of them died from typhus outbreaks. the russians lied and claimed the germans were gassing the jews to death but the zyklon B they found was used by the germans as a pesticide to kill lice not to genocide the jews.

@thedisbatcher It seems they were -- as long as you weren't Jewish or Eastern European. I read something which compared WW II vets who were in German POW camps and those who were in Japanese POW camps. It said that a much higher percentage of the guys who were in the German camps are still alive. Even though the guys were all roughly from the same age group.

that camp actually looks like a pretty good place to sit out the rest of the war ... I'd rather be fighting, of course, but if I had to be a POW, that camp looks like a good place to be one
