This is FANTASTIC! I wish more people were willing to do this. Lawns are ugly and a waste of resources (inefficient use of water, often doused in pesticides, etc.). Fruit and Veg. gardens are far more efficient, productive, and rewarding. And if you don't want to do the work yourself, you can have someone else who would like the land access do it for you and share in the bounty!

The new HR 875 bill going through congress is trying to make this illegal. Monsanto, Tyson and other companies want to make it illegal for us to be small farmers without using deadly chemicals and government regulated poisons to kill our kids. We need to uphold our rights to grow good food.

Excellent work, I've seen many examples of this type of project work for decades, in the city and in the country. Doesn't matter where you are, use what you have and make something productive out of it. When we lived in the city, we had container gardens, now that we're in the country, we've got the room to really make things happen. We're actually setting up our orchard right now... thanks for the inspiration!

it is accurate. sustainable agriculture requires the same farm to be operational for at least five years. this is just a dinky video.

this woman is farming in the people's backyards because she couldn't afford to purchase "land" outside of the city. instead, she decided to look at the land around her, and other people. land "owners" want to grow vegetables on their property and this woman does it. yes, this project is less than 5 years old, but you are dismissing the project as 'dinky'? wow! no wonder things are the way we are... what are you doing? do tell.
