At the Croc Festival (an annual festival, held in many locations around Australia involving indigenous and non-indigenous schools) on Thursday Island, students from Thursday Island High School show a strong performance of traditional dancing from Boigu, in the Top Western Torres Strait Islands; Close to the Papua New Guinea coast, there are strong links with the culture of that country. The "Maumatang" war dance features bows and arrows, unknown on mainland Australia.
