Did you know that FirewireOrg redirects simply to AppleCom?
This to me is an obvious scam and another projected dumbing down of consumer applications. have adopted firewire since 1999 and never gave it up. I actually RELY on it. Audio and my web server. My web server is running on G3 PISMO firewire with 2x 3rd gen firewire Ipods in Disc mode as the torrent drives. Amazing. I had to build little cooling and isolation for the Ipods cause they get hot.Works great..outperforms my Tower Sata.

We had high hopes back then. Not everything worked out. I thought we were reaching when we talked about 1394 in the automobile, but it looks like that will happen in a few years. Not that you will see it. FireWire will be hidden away carrying video.
