These scenes are missing from all current DVD releases of the film, yet were in the old VHS releases and also in the version screened by the UK sci-fi channel in 2005.

The German DVD by Marketting films, released in 2003, attempted to splice them back in from a VHS source, but these were obviously of inferior quality to the rest of the print and in German language only.

All other DVD releases have simply missed them out, producing noticable "jump cuts" in places.

No explanation has been given for this, which I assume was due to print damage, but as these scenes were included in the version screened on TV, complete prints must therefore exist. Just a pity no one has bothered to route one out for their DVD releases, and instead chosen to put out the same truncated version.

Anyway, I've included approximate running times for where these scenes should occur on your DVD, if you own the film check it out.

  • I heard there's an alternate ending but wasn't used due to the shoddy special effects, do you have the footage available perhaps?

  • Yes I have both versions, but I beleive both endings are available on YouTube.

  • Whats this movie about anyway

  • Sci-Fi horror pic, it would take too long to explain the somewhat messed up plot, however if you visit my site, listed in the description above, you can read the review for yourself!

  • I really don't see how these scences effect the movie over all.

  • I just find it a bit tardy on the part of the DVD companies that they couldn't be bothered to ensure they had a complete print. The last scene of them finding the front door has been forced produces a very noticeable jump cut in the DVD, which displaces their dialogue and affects continuity, as they suddenly go from the front garden to the inside of the house. For completists like myself I find these ommisions very annoying.

  • I just watched the film on youtube and with that last scene missing it didn't make a lot of sense at all. She was going on about 'should we tell someone' and I was thinking tell em about what? Why cut such a small scene when it's kind of important to the plot?

  • @kelillo

Dude, the soundtrack on this film sucked big time, I don't know what they were thinking.

The film would of done a lot better with a different score...

  • At least the missing footage is available here to view, but really I couldn't care less that this filler is missing from the DVD.If there had been any missing gore or FX footage, then there would have been major issues with the DVD release.

  • i have it

  • got this film ordered , i aint seen it since about 83 or so , ,betamax days

  • thanks for the information!

  • it's on THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT records 1983. it's a real gem, i love it.

  • yeah, I´ve being looking for the soundtrack of the movie since I saw it in VHS. it was like 15 years ago

  • I have the British LP. I don't know how to transfer it though. The music is by HBD the director and it's really great.
