Clem Jones Tunnel (CLEM7) is Brisbane's first major road tunnel. The 6.8km CLEM7 is being delivered on behalf of Brisbane City Council by Queensland toll road company, RiverCity Motorway Group.

Scheduled to be open in 2010, the tunnel will link to five existing major motorways and arterial roads on the north and south sides of the Brisbane River, which together carry 400,000 vehicles every day.

The 6.8km toll road includes twin, 2-lane 4.8km tunnels. CLEM7 is the first critical component of the Brisbane Lord Mayor's TransApex vision that aims to reduce deficiencies in the City's urban road network. Once operational, CLEM7 will provide an additional 4 lanes of river crossings, and will allow motorists to bypass up to 23 sets of traffic lights.
