I saw the video of Mike demonstrating this technique on video in 1988 and adopted it as my own. I still use it today because of the clear clean sound it makes. On my Channel see Silk & Ash as an example :)

I've read somewhere that he should be an Aspie. This definitely confirms it (being a mother of one... I see a lot of similarities)

And don't get me wrong, I LOVE Mike Oldfield, he's a true genius with a guitar! But I'm absolutely voting for the Aspie theory.
