iPhone-maker rallies workers after China suicides

In Shenzen China, workers who typically spend their weeks putting together iPhones and other gadgets packed a stadium
at their campus on Wednesday, they shouted slogans as they rallied in an attempt to raise morale after a pattern of suicides
at the company's factories.

The outreach to workers shows how Foxconn Technology Group has been shaken by these suicides
as opposed to the bad press they attracted.

Louis Woo stated,"For a long period of time I think we were kind of blinded by our success,"
Louis Woo is a special assistant to Terry Gou, whom is the the founder of Foxconn's parent company.

Since then the company has already hired counselors, raised wages, and actually installed safety nets on the buildings to catch potential jumpers.
Job rotation will also take affect so workers can do different tasks and group assignments so workers don't feel so isolated.

@kingofallwhites Why does everyone have this holy opinion about Apple, Steve Jobs, and their products? They break just as often as the any other competitor, they've priced themselves out of any reasonable market, and Jobs was a royal ass hole. Oh, they're casings look pretty. And recently all the MTV and Hollywood or other nobs have one. And their stock price shot up. A fad. The 21 cntry wig, we could be inventing new sources of energy, but consumers are pouring money into a f'ing phone.

I'm glad to not ever having bought anything Mac, but I did work for them for a bit for their tech support on mac computers, never owning a mac. Seriously their programs are very easy to figure out. Kind of gives insight, if they were more widely used that Microsoft, they have would be prone to serious security issues. Anyway, besides the point, I'm glad I've never bought anything from Apple and never will. They've never interested me. They seem tacky and so do the bimbos who buy their stuff.

Everyone on here is only complaining about the bad working conditions and bad treatment apple gives to their workers but if you think about it everything you wear and use is made by hand so us as consumers are supporting all factories and companies . don't only blame apple blame yourself as a consumer
