I agree halfway with you. I also think that feeling the need to tweet about everything going on means you're a very narcissistic person who thinks people actually do care. My opinion is that they tweet because they want people to know, and they don't really care that much about what the others are doing, so it's an eternal circle of self loving in small sentences that are far from interesting. So yeah, you're right, tweeting is there so you can compensate.
