  • there was the serious problem during the 1970s of people forgetting to close their car doors, especially on short journeys, in fact statistics indicate that on average Ted Heath fell out of his car around 74 times a year, because he was prone to neither clunking, nor clicking! this film did a good bit by informing people that its only right to close the car door before a journey :D......... as well as something obscure about seatbelts or something............

  • the 70s were a fuck sight better than today in so many ways! OK my opinion and hard to fathom from those not born then but shit its true!

  • @catchthewave91 Only 74 times a year? Bah! Harold Wilson, could smoke his pipe AND fall out of his car 74.5 (average) times a year, even with his seat belt on and the door closed..........

Eat yer heart out Coalition twins..

  • @ThingsToMakeAnDo In fairness, I don't think anyone mentioned necrophilia, nor living with his dead mother's body for three days after she died, nor his beating people up in Liverpool clubs. All that was mentioned is that there WERE rumours, and that he wouldn't have a girflfriend unless she was as good as his mother. On the other hand, several people paid tribute to him, his marathons, and his legendary status as an icon of 1970s TV. God Bless Yer, Sir Jim!
