@LeviBenji Christ strictly forbids the use of violence in the sermon on the mount. He also forbids it at his arrest. Read the fruit of the Spirit. It can't be clearer in Scripture. This is like arguing that men should go to strip clubs so they can witness to their friends from work. Watch porn so you can witness to your friends? It is not about Christ in culture, it is about the kingdom of peace, joy and righteousness.

@1thess523 I don't know... my real bottom line issue are video games. I'm not playing them but, I don't know... I feel rejected for wanting to play them. I'd be the biggest hypocrite if I said that because I don't that I don't like them. I believe that the Lord will keep me faithful and do whatever it takes to make me and keep me His. @BritneyAddicted4EVA , I know what you mean because when my wife and I first became christians we sorta started becoming LEGALISTIC but God is good and now we have a better understanding of things. If you talk about "allowing a bit of worldiness in your life" you might want to close you Youtube account and sell your computer!!(a bit overboard and legalistic haha)

MMA is a sport for crying out loud! Is boxing sinful? Is football sinful? I have a great pastor that is an avid hunter and fisherman...is that sinful as well?? Worry about your own log people.

...the Bible also commands to us to love what is good and hate what is evil. Why would watching MMA then not be utterly sinful? I don't condemn it, I'm just struggling with some questions. I'm not gonna do that but I can support with many verses the fact that Christians should never ever watch stuff like that. Why? Well if you allow a little worldliness in your life, you might as well allow it all and we know that it's not acceptable. I pray that God changes my heart and fixes it daily.

I know I might be self justifying myself here in a hidden way but I can't avoid the fact that John says in his first letter that whoever loves the world does not have the love of the Father. Also, I'm an ex video games addict, Lord released me, but it's still a fight. Been game free for months now. Anyway, what does make a video game like MW3 sinful, and watching TV ok? @J4K31 why dont you read the verse it is from, the beginning of the verse Jesus say " do not resist an evil person" and goes on to say turn the other cheek. if some hits you out of violence and anger with the wrong intention then turn the other cheek. but MMA is a sport these guys are using their gifts to glorify God with them let them do that. if they would not use their gift they would be throwing away the vary gift he gave them.

@J4K31 I completely agree with what you say about His teachings. This is sport, not violence. And again, COUNTLESS amounts of people have come to salvation because of fighters testimonies. Jesus is using their lives to glorify Himself. I agree with saying no to violence, and turning the other cheek... saved men that fight show love 2 their opponent, and even pray with them after the fight.. Phillipians 1:12-26. Dont be an old wineskin sir. Love you brother. Jesus be with you and your loved ones.

@J4K31 I know some people think it means that, but there is also another interpretation. For someone to strike you on your right cheek, they would have to be left handed. How can Jesus be a pacifist if he tells us to sell our Cloak and Buy a Sword: Luke 22:36. Also in Revelation 19:15 And out of his mouth goes forth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
