Die For Love//Chapter 20

Ahh, sorry--Problumchild2 here, and you know me; busy, busy, busy. Plus school starts tomorrow, so...I'm not even gonna say anything else...

I nodded, not hearing a word she just actually said. I was preoccupied with the fact that I'm actually sitting on a fucking flying carpet..."You know, I almost forgot to mention something--you look beautiful tonight." I blushed deeply for no apparent reason. Emily laughed. "You're blushing." That only made me blush deeper.
"Oh...yeah." My cheeks were hot now. "I can't help it.
"Don't help it. I think it's cute."

Okay, like seriously, what was she doing to me? I knew they were only compliments, but they were nonstop. And I kinda liked it. Selena complimented me, but not so much. For the first time in a couple minutes, I looked back at her. She was staring at the sky, but then looked at me just as soon as I looked at her. "What?"
"I dunno...I was just wondering..Why are you being so nice to me?"
"Being nice to you, huh?"
"Considering on how like a few days ago you were peverted."
"I can't help myself. Especially around you. Those words just...slipped."
I took that as another compliment and layed down beside her. Emily looked over at me and smiled. I smiled back.

Selena was at home, listening to Nick as he explained what Demi said to him, and about her date with Emily. She was livid. She knew Emily and her bastard twin were up to something. And knowing that Demi was naive and probably trying to get over her, she'd fall for it.

"I knew it," She said when he was done. Her lip started to quiver. "I knew I shouldn't have broken up with her, I should've known this would happen!" Nick put his arm around his sister, trying to comfort her. "It's alright."
"No it's not! I should've just went over there myself instead of sending you!" The tears started to fall. "And now it's too late, cause she's on her date. Why am I so stupid?"
"Sel, don't beat yourself up. We'll get her back! Knowing Emily, she's probably ruined their date and she's a home crying right now." Nick said. "You think so?" Selena looked up at him with eyes full of hope.
"Well, no; some of that's kinda farfetched, but--" Selena removed his arm from her shoulder, and stood up. "You know Nick, you're no help."
"I'm sorry. I've just never been in this position before." Nick said. Selena rolled her eyes, and walked into the kitchen. Right when Joe and Vanessa pulled her aside. "We need to talk to you."
"About what!? You guys have already ruined my fucking relationship with Demi! What else do you want!?"

Joe had an amused look on his face. "'A "fucking relationship", eh? I thought you were a virgin."
"You know what I meant, Joe--so shut the fuck up before I hurt you again!" Selena stepped up, in which Vanessa pushed her back. "Step off, brat." Selena's face turned red. "Look, we know what you're doing, and we--"
"Tell me what it is!" Selena interrupted. "Tell me what I'm doing!?"
"Breaking it off with Demi, so she can stay away from you and us. We know. And we just wanna say that it's not deterring us."
"Why!? Why do you keep messing with her--what do you want from her!?" Selena exclaimed. Hot tears were pouring down her face.
"You know; it's not really her we're messing with." Joe said cooly. "Then who is it!? Are you using us as your fucking bait or something?"
"No. When you think about it; you'll find out." They walked away, with Vanessa scowling and Joe smirking. Selena stood there, clutching her fists. Those two were up to something as well as Emily and her twin. They were all after Demi for different (And unkown) reasons, which meant that she had to get back to Demi fast. If only she knew where she was...
