shinkochan2, I thought about that too, but then the original translation actually works out this way:
随便的 could mean "any" or "common", so unusual could possibly mean "unique" or "special" in this case, which then makes sense.

TRANSLATION: The title of the Super Monkey album (我不是个随便的花朵) doesn't mean "I'm an Unusual Flower", which would translate directly as 我是个异常的花朵. Rather, it carries connotations of a woman overturning traditional notions of sexual promiscuity, and would be better translated as: (1) I'm Not Your Casual Flower (2) I'm Not Your Good-time Flower (3) I'm Not Your Anytime Flower.
Pow.

CHEEEERS: To the (presumably young, cool and underpaid) video editors, who wisely drowned out the claptrap and used great concert footage from two hard-working Chinese bands.

Hey! That's Liu Wentai from Louisiana..... he's currently working on Gao Qi's new "classical favorites" sung-in-mandarin compilation.
I'm glad XTX used the coffee/tea analogy, as opposed to the grass/crack analogy.
XTX's music really does have that strange oriental melodiousness to it.....

I don't buy any of it ! English music is that which accompanies Morris Dancing, French muzak usually follows the ups and downs of Porn films, and Americans are into Slasher rock ! Isn't this just one big, "let's dissect fluff" stereotype ! The fact is most Pop whether it be C-Pop,J-Pop,K-Pop, or U.K Pop Crap is just manufactured tat glossed by fat and exceptionally bald men in suits.
i agree, modern china is absolutely unseen from a foreign perspective
