CYI Pocket Laser Light Show (High Speed Videos)

This is a look at the "Pocket Laser Light Show" by "Can You Imagine". There are a few high speed videos as well, demonstrating the way that it works. It is quite an interesting device, and quite inexpensive. Check it out. (My camera is progressive scan, so it looks like the lines are broken in areas, but they are not).

It works by using 2 imbalanced mirrors attached to electric motors, causing the laser which is shined on them to be bent at a high rate of speed. When the beam hits a surface, it is moving so rapidly that your eye sees it as a line rather than a dot. There are switches that allow you to change the direction of the mirrors' rotation and dials that control their speed.
