@ChargersrBA megadeth is one of my favorite bands. but i gotta say they are the slowest thrash band in terms of drums speed. as for guitar speed... Fucking Hell. I love playing their stuff.

@ChubbyGregLord Hmm. I respect your opinion even though mine is slightly different. I think Metallica did make a change for the worse, but I do actually like their music. It definitely isn't thrash, but I still think that it is good. Megadeth on the other hand has kept the speed, but it just doesn't sound right. Dave's voice on Th1rt3en sound awful and as a whole it just sound un-Megadeth.

@ChargersrBA Megadeth's case is much like Metallica's, although the reason that they would have more respect than Metallica by the dedicated fans in the metal community, is because of this: Metallica was among legends with their good albums, but with their bad albums, however they not only tarnished their reputations as amazing musicians, but started to produce all but mediocre albums. Megadeth, on the other hand, started off slow, started to produce some decent albums, hung in there, and then..
