  • maybe you wish to try it as ground?...

I am a vegatarian, ... and I got problems with seitan ;)... so even veggies are not shielded from these jams at the exit of your first stomach!

  • yeah, that is what i said i eat it ground. I eat lots of ground chicken in chili and other stuff and also I eat turkey sausage.

  • i am sorry to say i cant tolerate any meat i live on almonds.... and cheesy tots ,only made fresh off the broiler or they r rubbery and gross... maybe that is why i am underwieght , i get terrible dumping with everything:(

  • *pout* so sorry to hear that!!! may get better with time?

  • I'm ok with chicken and eggs. Each person is different post-op, strangely enough. You'd think the surgery would affect us all the same!

  • That rocks! am jealous. I am putting up a video on my black beans and my chili soon. The black beans taste awesome with a fried egg in them. I wish I could have them that way, may try to see if I can keep it down with the beans. Beans are so soothing in my pouch, they never make me sick

  • YESSS im one month post-op, and i was a HUGE chicken fanatic. and every time i have eaten chicken, its mad eme throw up! i was sooo upset, but im learning to deal with it!

  • Hi Amelia. My wife, Sue, had the surgery 5 weeks ago(41 pounds gone), and we really like watching you together because you're very inspiring. My wife and I were laughing so hard today at this because when you point over your left shoulder and say "nothing on the floor", your kitty goes sauntering by. We wish to ask you what do you take when you get upset tummy. Keep on truckin'!

  • ty for telling me that i dont like chicken but i like eggs..... i havent had bypass yet i will april 2010 but that really helped me alot

  • I know that I will have to give up my favorite chicken, unless it is in chicken spaghetti, where the meat is tender. I can't have any KFC, unless it is super soft with the grilled version. I love coffee, and I know I won't be able to have much of that or even Raspberry Gingerale. My surgery is in 3 months. My metabolism is shot, and most of my teeth are missing, plus I have cataracts, all because of type II diabetes.

  • i found out that if you use a food processor, I have a cup size that retails for about $10 and grind the chicken up you have lot less trouble eating chicken. Eating it any other way it is very painful. Ground chicken still poses a problem.

  • I had the same problem after my gastric bypass. It was a year before I could eat chicken, and even now if it is too dry or not chewed REALLY well, I will throw it up. Best if eaten with something liquid like broth, or the really soft meat of chicken wings...Tolerated eggs ok. Good luck with GB....still the best thing I ever did, I don't regret ever!! Thanks Dr. Katsis, you are AWESOME!!!

  • good to know! Thanks!

  • Im getting ready to have gastrix byppass surgery and this is bery helpful.

  • Poor Jeremie, who pissed in your koolaid and made you such an evil troll? Leave her alone. Get a grip.
