Welcome to L'Île-de-la-Visitation Nature Park located in Ahuntsic, a borough of Montreal. Bothe the Nature Park and the City of Ahuntsic have Miles (KMs) of littered shoreline along the Montreal Back River. Although the Inhabitants of Ahuntsic have a certain arrogance about them believing that they live in a borough that is a step above many other Montreal Boroughs it's pretty obvious they are no better than a bunch of Dirty Pigs!
In a small area no larger than a small football field I was able to accumulate hundreds of pictures a day of new litter made of broken beer and alcohol bottles, fast food wrappers, various cups, water bottles, diapers, condoms, pads, tampons, bags and so much more. Now that the water is low it's time to clean up, enforce the existing rules and laws, patrol the area and make sure that all this garbage and broken glass is gone before the water levels rise and everything is washed into the Saint Lawrence Seaway and into the ocean.
I hope you picked it up .
Im sure you did ' right ?

I used to pick some up. Now I only pick up the glass bottles and dangerous pieces of glass. I can't spend my entire day cleaning thousands of pieces of trash. The city has people employed to do so. There's law's in place to prevent access to many of these areas after sunset. Unfortunately the City does nothing to enforce any regulations or enforce patrols that would have a positive effect on this problem.
