THE Philippine Medical Association has urged the Department of Health to re-assess its policy on organ donations, especially its impact to the sovereign rights of patients to life.
"As I speak, there are numerous patients in the country who are fighting for their lives, in a death row-like queue, waiting for this life-saving procedure to be performed on them," PMA president Dr. Oscar Tinio said in a two-page letter sent to Health Secretary Enrique Ona.

My mother is on Kidney Dialysis for 3 years now kaya nag abroad ako due to high cost of dialysis, sana masulusyunan din ito. Sobrang mahal ng dialysis ang laking pahirap sa ordinaryong tao tulad ko kaya yung ibang walang mailabas na pera ay namamatay nalang kwento ng nanay ko. Sad to say masasabi kong palpak ang health system ng Pilipinas dahil maraming namamatay nalang dahil sa kawalan ng tulong sa gobyerno.
