Star Trek Autodestruct - Similarities

Captain Kirk activated the Enterprises Autodestruct in the episode "Let That Be Your Last Battlefield" and also in Star Trek III: The Search For Spock. They both contained very similar codes:

Sequence 1: Code 1-1A
Sequence 2: Code 1-1A-2B
Sequence 3: Code 1B-2B-3
and finally: 000 Destruct 0

I saw the movie first, so as soon as that scene started in Last Battlefield I knew exactly what was going to happen, hahaha.

I love that the same code was used both times. it showed continuity. Sad when they blew up the ship though.

It takes so much longer to set the self destruct in TOS then any of the other series

With a 30 second countdown you wouildn't want to be evactuating the ship in a hurry... :)

@howardkevinm Yes but the TOS Enterprise's computer doesn't use windows, so it blows all modern (or is it past?) computers out of the water.

In "Let That Be Your Last Battlefield"...the expressions on the faces of Chekov and Sulu says it all!
