oh honey, human do barbaric things all the times. but it might as well be just different cultures have different thoughts about different things. What might be barbaric to us might not applies to them e.g. Spain has the tradition of poking bulls by the matador everyday. So...

What the fuck is wrong with humans??? Every time we discover that two animals fight, bite, kick or ram each other we put them straight into a fucking ring and have a laugh! I can't wait for aliens to land and start putting us into freakshow rings to kill each other. They'll just say something stupid like "Yeah but they fight all the time in nature anyway."
Youtube comment boxes are a breeding ground for brain-dead zombies.

It's not causing harm as they're not goring each other. They fight in the wild anyways. It's a part of a water buffalo's life. It's a test of stamina.
For cruelty, look up cockfighting and bullfighting.

@zenrising You say "YouTube comment boxes are a breeding ground for brain dead zombies"?
Pray do tell, why are you tarnishing other YT users with your own brush?
If I remember correctly it is you that lives in a freakshow, "biting and ramming" (as you call it) your own family.

One of the reasons they have these fights is to see which male they want for their herd. Just like nature in a way, the stronger, meaner bull will make stronger healthier calves. Some, not all, of these matches are in auction rings and whoever comes out on top is worth more and is destined to be the Alpha male in the herd. The loser is still sold but obviously for a lesser price and has a much bigger chance to be slaughtered. Plus, there's a lot of gambling. At least they don't kill each other.
is it really there instinct to just start fighting once they see eachother?

Yes, its a fight for territory and dominance. Two male buffalo in the wild will do the same thing.
