Warbows at Herstmonceux - Video 23

Watch as the Warbow archers of The Company of Holyrood join Ben, Luke and Chris of Barebow Archery for 3 days of Warbow demonstrations at Herstmonceux Medieval Festival, the largest 3 day medieval festival in England.

Apologies for the low-res video and poor sound quality. The video was shot in HD Quicktime format (.MOV) and I had no end of problems getting Windows Movie Maker to accept those files. I have now bought a new video editing package so hopefully in future my videos will be in HD and have better production values. If I have time I may even re-master this video and post it again, so it can be seen in the format I intended and without the crackly audio! :)

Are there any more medieval festivals left this year before the dreaded winter arrives?

@lpilk2007 There probably are but I don't know of any. If you take a look at sites such as the Medieval Siege Society they usually publish a list of events. There is always a big English Heritage event at Battle in East Sussex commemorating the Battle of Hastings in October and I am giving a display with a few of the lads in this video at Waltham Abbey on the 8th October, but things begin to go quiet now until next May.

I love the old arts , but , I was getting ... well

..uncomfortable around the 5 minute mark .

I mean medieval archers weren't a bunch of benders ! That... 'musak' ?..jeeez Archers are Rammstein not pan-pipes ....

What a fantastic event! And fantastic archery! I'm going to have to go to this one day I love medieval history it's fascinating! I have a soft spot for the mighty Warbow, what a fantastic weapon it is! Great to see you guys shooting I love yours bows and gear!
