Shogun is right, the judges should award more points to the person engaging and pressing forward. Obviously Machida is amazing, but he's mostly a counter-fighter. I'm not into that, and I doubt many people are. It's what Anderson Silva has turned into. But I guess, you have to win decisively to take the belt away from the Champ...which is why I don't get how Frankie Edgar won that decision?

This fight is going to have a definitive finish IMO. Both guys are saying they're coming in with plans to finish and I think that if Lyoto decides to be more offensive in this fight that it could go either way and one man will either fall and it'll be a much more active fight than the first.

@Xytos Lets see you come back after a year off and fight the best fighter in the LHW bracket in the world.

Shogun for a long time was the best LHW out there. prior to Jones, he had one loss where it wasn't because of a injury. early in his career he got caught in a guillotine.

Shogun has always had problems with his knee, has had several surgeries on it, and he still comes back to fight. So have some fucking respect. Just because he got destroyed by the best doesn't mean he is a loser.

@StUpidP0seRS machida is not a wrestler and shogun BJJ is medicore very overrated he got worked by forrest griffin, rashad also has a black belt in BJJ by rolles gracie. shogun wont be getting up also rashad jaw isnt glass if it was rampage and thiago would of ended, chuck is a glass jaw, rashad has only been k.oed once and he took a bunch of shots to go out. suspect chin maybe but glass no.

@Narutardpwner92 Exactly, which is why the UFC has allowed him recovery/training time until spring/early summer... that's still atleast 8 months away, enough time for Shogun to get back into shape and improve his takedown defense. And if you didn't notice during the 2nd Machida fight, Machida took him down twice and he got back up almost immediately.

Not to mention Rashad has a GLASS jaw. Almost got KO'd by Thiago Silva and if Silva's back wasn't f'd up he would've won period.

@StUpidP0seRS rashad will beat shogun, people tend to underestimate rashad. styles make fights, and shogun has terrible takedown defense, its open double and single leg takedowns. shogun has the striking advantage but it wont help him when he on his back plus shogun cardio is pretty crap and he comign off his 3rd knee surgery shogun will lose the belt.

@Narutardpwner92 As much as I hate to admit it, Jon Jones has incredible potential to become champ and most likely will be champ. The guys like in his early 20s too? I'll definitely be keeping an eye on him in the future.

Still though WAR SHOGUN !!! He's gonna knock Rashad's ugly ass out and gonna have 2nds with Machida again:) (By 2nds I mean he's gonna KO him again)
