His sing-song delivery is hilarious, but the man still has no charisma whatsoever.

I feel like a child on Mr. Rogers after listening to that. Whatever he said that was meaningful got lost in the delivery. And please put those hands down...at least part of the time. He sounds funny too - like Andy Griffith or something. I looked down and saw "Republican Response" at the bottom and had to laugh. Hah, hah.

I do believe in Universal suffrage, just don't expect me to sit back and take it when dependents use the government to take my tax money

The reason that the founding fathers were reluctant to extend the vote to those who didn't own property wasn't because they were trying to set up an oligarchy, but as James Madison (the guy that initiated the redoing of the A's of C) said, they were afraid that the non-landowners would use the government as a vehicle to strip the property from the people who paid their taxes. looks like the non- "right winger" founding fathers knew exactly what would happen when a welfare state takes over.

Yes, that is correct, the right wingers of the 1780s were opposed to the Constitution. They were leery of all that "We The People" stuff.*

*As I see many right wingers still are (hence your sneering at "dependent voters" -- Repubs believe only the rich should be allowed to run things).

right-wingers of the time? seriously? i'd love to see the proposals that us "right wingers" have to dismantle federalism. there's a difference in constitutional states rights and a state run system. republicans just recognize the federal government was intended to be on a short leash. and just because politicians are popular, doesn't mean they are right. Hitler's approval rating was 90%. it's too bad that dems attract enough dependent voters to scrape elections.

Dude, are you forgetting that it was the left who WROTE that Constitution of ours (the one your last President called "a Goddamned piece of paper"? The right-wingers of the time wanted to stick with the failed Articles of Confederation, but we needed a government that could actually do something, so we wouldn't remain as helpless as a snake cut into bits.

The Repubs got less than half the votes cast in 2012, and kept control only thanks to Gerrymandering. And their approval rating is still 5%.

Yeah they were voted in their to block obamas spend and tax agenda. Sorry you have to deal with this thing called the Constitution and checks and balances. I know it frustrates lefties that they cant just mash through everything they want.
