  • Buddy Holly never played it this advanced, maybe advanced is a wrong word, but I think it's a different style. Based on Buddy's work, I really think he would have enjoyed your version of this.

  • A D E

  • Crisp n Sweet!

    LOVE IT!

  • How to you get that rockabilly tone? I have a Gretsch Electromatic and a mg series 15cd Marshall amp, can I get the tone you have from that?

  • The reason y'all are hearing John Fogerty and CCR, Bad Moon Rising, etc is because John Fogerty was so heavily influenced by Buddy Holly and Rock-a-Billy music in general. Same as George Harrison. Listen to early Beatles and George's riffs, Rock-a-Billy all over the place!!

  • Funky playing. The groove for this song (as well as the chord progression) reminds me of CCR's "Bad Moon Rising."

    Both great songs.

  • @alyrocksthebraine A, D, E.

  • Great!

  • this is pretty effing sweet....where did you get the chords or tabs for this i must know...

kick ass cover...let me sing it for you ahaha i love buddy holly he was the shizz

  • @SeadartVSG I think the reason it sounds like Creedence is the way he deadens the strings (lifting his left fingers) after each chord strum giving it that abrupt sound - just like the first two chords of Bad Moon Rising.
