It's actually a good thing that we didn't get the first overall pick. Stamkos is an amazing player, true, but we really didn't need him. We have offensive talent. We got a defenceman that's going to be a big part of the franchise for years. Again, I'm going to repeat myself, we may have had a couple of rough seasons, but we're more focused on having a winner for a long time, not JUST right now. And don't call Lombardi an idiot, just look at what he did for the San Jose Sharks.
