So we should allow oil to exponentially increase in cost. Great...the Haiti food price protests are just the beginning of what rising oil costs cause. The poor man is at the mercy of "sake of prices."

so lets transfer the problem from the Middle East to somewhere else.... That is incredibly "smart"! Or maybe we should exploit Alaska and pollute over there... dumb as well. If we exploit more oil domestically, it would be more expensive as living standards in the US are more expensive, so oil prices would go higher due to high labor costs. Food which is already expensive would sky rocket too, cause now cost of transportation would be more expensive.
