I stumbled on this video by accident but watching it I was wondering where all the fish were. Like tyler said below there were big fish in there. A friend of mine and myself used to fish in there on occasion many many years ago and used to catch nice ones. Who shot this video, Pat Jenkins?
My grandfather worked there and he described what your video shows. The "submarine" is a steam boiler, probably the one used to power the water pumps. He was working there the weekend the pumps were overcome by the surge in water. He said they left 22 dump cars in the hole along with the locomotive, shay type, pumps and their boiler, drilling equipment, tracks and a small lifter to move track as they open the quarry face. The hole flooded in either 1915 or 1916. Thanks!
Awesome video! I've heard stories of this place since I was a kid. I knew there were stories about the railcars, but a sub...I never knew about that! How deep the quarry? I've heard the fishing is great. Is it true?

This is all on private land. The public has not been allowed back there in decades.
