Combining Dreadlocks with a Strand Twist - a Dread Head Dread Vlog Short - Better Audio!

http://www.dreadheadhq.com/ Everyone was getting choppy audio the first time I uploaded this so here it is again...hopefully much easier to understand!
Strand twists are nothing new but using them to combine dreadlocks is new! Or at least it's new to me... In any case it's easy, fast, and it leaves a really cool twist in your dread. The dreads will continue to grow "as one dread" after the twist so you'll have a section of twisted dread in the middle of a regular dread. I prolly wouldn't want all my dreads to sport twists but to have a few like this definitely adds some interest. It's important to note that the twist will remain visible for the life of the dread. I know it sounds like a freakin advert - but I just maintain'em like it recommends on the DreadHeadHQ site - I started 'em with the dread wax - washem with dread soap - the whole 9. I also try to stay on top of clockwise rubbing the new growth which eliminates a lot of loose hair. I take care of the rest with a loose hair tool. So yea, no secret, just sticking to tha plan =]

Bro, Nice locks. Listen ..Im getting dreads but I dont want to go to the salon and do it. My mom is always tellling me to do it at the salon but Im broke! lol SO I twisted my hair myself. Will that work.. I mean will it look good after a while of maintenance? I feel like when the root grows outward more it wont be locked in with the twisted area. Got any tips?
