I completely agree with you LordOfTheHornets, it's an insult to William Orbit and his awesomeness to suggest that he get second-billing for this one. So what if it's the Sugababes doing the lead vocals? He's the bloody producer, he can get ANYONE to do the vocals and it won't make much difference, but change the producer and it won't sound half as good as this. Just because the Sugababes are more famous than him doesn't mean they should get top-billing.

It may be william orbit ft sugababes, but they do the lead vocals and could easily be a song he produced for them for their album, so may as well be sugababes ft william orbit. Hes more of a producer than an artist and writes things for the artist to sign and sell, so if it did get released it would be seen as a sugababes single, and it should have been released cos i ts amazing, orbit is genius love madonna ray of light album and all saints saints and sinners. he did such good work.

it is however from william orbits album whether he is a producer or not, this would be enough to constitute it being a william orbit release, beth orton did not have the song water from a vineleaf (or indeed any of the other many songs she sang for him on his albums) credited to her, the only time this was the case was when he worked on her solo albums, but no matter who the main artist is its one hell of a bloody good song and one of my favourites (by william orbit ofcourse lol)

i have to agree with you wowsat on a few of those points but, unfortunately not on the point of it being released as a sugababes single, it is not from a sugababes album tho in essence it sounds like it could well be,

The album is William Orbit's "Hello Waveforms".

However, the issue is not that different from William Orbit's hit from the early 1990s. It was "Water From a Vine Leaf" featuring Beth Orton. But, its Beth Orton all the way. I don't think its rude for Sugababe fans to see it as a Sugababe's song, any more that for a Beth Orton fan to see Water From a Vine Leaf as Beth's song.
It all comes out in the wash.
