one of my Hackett favorites! I know that Sierra means mountain. What is "quemada"? Is this a specific mountain range somewhere in the world?

I saw Steve perform this live the year before Guitar Noir came out -- he did two shows at the Bottom Line and called it Flight of the Albatross. It's my all-time favorite Hackett tune, beating Spectral Mornings. It's gorgeous.

I'm siriusauriazul. I disagree. Spectral Mornings is great, but Sierra Quemada is perfect for me. Since 2001 I've not heard a better sound in the music world. The liquefied feelings of this song, simply support the magic of the universe.

I'm pleasantly surprised to see over 43k views for this! Love all of Hackett's work, and the Guitar Noir album is a masterpiece.

For those who are interested, Steve is coming out with Genesis Revisited 2 in late October and will be followed by a world tour!
