@Ianacek Unfortunately it's a never ending cycle. The government can only do so much to try to rehabilitate a struggling people. Sometimes they must take the initiative to do it themselves, or at least try. If they all tried, things would be much better. Relying on the government isn't certainly not a good option.

We stand amazed the USA tolerates its neighborhoods fall into such decay . Who born into such a neighborhood would see escape other than in crack consumption and dealing .
America is a wealthy country .It prefers to spend its money on idle comption & miltary budgets & interfering in other countries' affairs .In 1977 , I travelled all over the USA by Greyhound bus . I remember hopeless faces on the streets of decaying neighborhoods . Little has changed in 33 years .

So depressing. I wish I had millions to renovate some of those buildings and bring life back to that city.
