A video log of yesterday's tragic events. Although I learned a great deal about the oldest Hammonds ever made from the atrocity my client had me perform. I learned a very valuable lesson about PEOPLE. Yes, I commited sacrilege... but I have been absolved/redeemed/and am ready to move on.

  • So did you manage to buy any of them?

  • @coopercraft

Nope, he put them on Craigslist for a ridiculous amount, no one bought or someone talked him way down. Haven't looked back since.

  • It's a long story bro... I'm trying to do what I can to get the remaining Model A's out of that guy's possession...

  • What a shame.

  • This video makes me so very very sad... I'm glad to know that I was able to save two organs so far. I just need to make more room in my house for more organs to come.

  • May God have mercy on our souls.

  • how hammond organs could be treat like that ? suicide is necessary after seeing this !

  • That's just sad...I'm speechless.

  • I'm not surprised those A's didn't start. They looked like they had been in storage for a couple of decades at the very least. Any oil would've dried up long ago.

So did you ever get to take one of those home???

  • Here's what I hope happened:

    1) You disassembled the internals, re-conditioning them to working order

    2) You striped, sanded/repaired the cabinets...restained and varnished them

    3) You replaced all cables/wires/tubes

    4) You re-assembled these babies for your personal showroom or sold them to someone who appreciates a good Hammond Organ.

Please tell me this is the conclusion of the matter.

  • Why kill this organ?

    please post more

    cheers D
