@Biscuitchris7again Well, 50mph fresh air and a hundred other interesting and new smells versus unbrushed teeth and 500X stronger sense than what we won't even tolerated.
Plus I think dogs really don't like both the sense of punishment as well as the difficulty standing in a tub. Very slippery place. The lack of personal control of getting into and out of a tub (carried) also makes such a thing resistible. I made my dog jump into the tub on his own and most of the time did nothing but praise.

@Odbarc - Like when a dog sticks its head out of the car window at 50mph...they love it. You blow in their face.. watch out.
I think it's the whole 'their place, their time'... when they want to do something it's fun, but when you force them into it they'll cry bloody murder... even though it's the same exact thing.

my dog hated water too in the beginning, but i made him bath with me in the water at the beach so no, everytime he sees water, he just jump right in (: takes only about ten minutes to get them used to it if your'e positive all the time and don't give up.

My dog hated baths, but loved pools, rivers, sprinklers, rain, snow, squirt guns, puddles, and spilling his own water dish.
