Basic wood chess pieces (the French Lardy) are good for playing chess, don't have to worry about breaking an expensive set. It has a nice finish, leather base, and extra queens.

  • nikanj even if you don't use the queen, it's still great to set it out there and shift it around every few moves. Chess is 90% psychology.

  • What is te first board called I looked for it on your website but couldn't find it...

  • lol i remember playing a chess game online against someone and i got like 4 queens no lie lol, needless 2 say he lost,

  • @thechesshouse I am against using psychology. Chess should be about the game itself, not about how well you can distract your opponent or how well you can psych him/her out. Just play game and cut the crap out.

  • I've never used the second queen in any of my sets. I find that the Queen rarely survives to the end game and even when it does the game is usually decided before a promotion takes place. Still, it's a nice touch.

  • @notyou0202 i see!!! thanks for the info!

  • @DougFnDrake when a Pawn gets promoted to Queen - it's easier to see, if you haven't lost your Queen already. Not necessary, but makes it nicer.

  • SSSSSSSEECCCOOONNNNNNDDDDDDDDD. whats the advantage of 2 queens?

  • FFFFFFFFFFIRSTTT.
