James Mungall gives Robert Burns' "Address to a Haggis" at the Caledonian Society of Baton Rouge's Annual Burns Supper. (This was my first address. The camera-work is shaky at parts due to dual wielding cameras). The whisky was Highland Park 12 if you're curious.

  • What language is this?

  • @Empirical1980

It's the Scottish dialect of English--sometimes referred to as "Lallands" or "Lowlands"--sometimes referred to as "Scots". Robert Burns used and proliferated this in his poetry.

  • Lovely!!!! Thank you

  • Very nice James, it was my first time doing it as well, and I forgot a verse, but I was concentrating on remembering Tam as I did it after dinner.
