Yep, I cannot imagine Gervinho setting the world alight in an Arsenal shirt. There is potential but I suspect that is all we'll ever see from him. In fairness Kanu had the benefit of playing in a far more resolute Arsenal side, This current crop is a poor a unit as we've had in a long time. Incredibly underwhelming despite having some decent players, the team as a whole lacks the mental strength that was a constant fixture in previous teams.

Well actually that is the problem Gervinho IS HALF as good at least when in a Arsenal Shirt he gets the first half of the play right but seems to blow it at the end of the play. but he always seems to score for the Ivory Coast.

Funny I always liked him but he was a controversial player at the time often NOT getting the start at Arsenal and many thought he was not good enough bet those guys would love it now if Gervinho was half as good :)
