Prof. Charles Krigbaum arrived at Yale in 1958 and was University Organist from 1965 to 1990 he was at the forefront in reviving the best in Romantic repertoire (and in playing and recording the organ music of Olivier Messiaen). Yale recently named a new organ in Marquand Chapel in his honor. Today he still lives near the Yale campus.

I met Dr. Krigbaum last summer during the installation of the Marquand organ. He is truly a gentleman! What a wonderful evening it was when they surprised him by naming the new organ the Charles Krigbaum organ. It's great to watch him play here. What a musician!
