  • This process will work for all models of the S series right? I'm looking at a 97 SC2 and I need to replace the front bumper. It's the same right?

  • @Iamcartmanxd The SC is slightly different.

  • Does anyone know if you need to disable the airbags before doing this? I think my Haynes repair manual says to do it.

  • @undertaker901 Always if in doubt disconnect the battery. The sensor for the air bag on this car is located inside and not on the bumper.

  • Well all your videos are awesome, It`s true what they say about sound and music for movies. It goes well for your videos also. Hey would those plastic ties work to fasten it back on or do I need to get new springs ?

  • @MrRaiders6769 You might be able to get away with cable ties.I just bought new ones from GetSaturnParts for $1.85 ea

  • Please ignore the annoying comments. You can say fascia as many times as you want, just keep posting Saturn repair vids. You've saved me many hours of frustration and having to deal with the repair shop. THANKS!

  • @MrRaiders6769 Wow i look back at my early videos and can see how i have improved over the years. It is normal wear over time which stretches those springs. If you look at the front of the Saturn you can see there is no grill in front of the radiator for the air to come in.The air dam helps direct air for cooling of the engine.

  • Great Video Rich !! Looked as if that was one of your earlier videos. BTW, I noticed when I got home today that my air dam was hanging. I took a look underneath and the springs were stretched out pretty far. I`m baffled how this happened because I do not recall hitting a parking curb or created any road kill. Any way I took it off. Is that a major thing that has to be put back on. What is it`s main purpose. I`m guessing it`s for fuel efficiency.

  • Richpin - Many Thanks! This video guided me through replacing the bumper cover (and I've taken to calling it "fascia") on a '99 SL 1. Seriously could not have done it otherwise.

  • All this, just to replace the fucking license plate.
