i'm indian and i think this is bullshit! all the women here have light skin!!! wtf?!! i mean i went to india not too long ago and all the women and men on tv had light skin. sure they are indians, but most people in india have darker skin! i really hate how some forms of beauty are marginalised! pisses me off so much!

p.s. originally, fair skin became popular in India because of the Mughals (Persians of some sort) not the English.

@lynnettelynnette You can see the Indian in these women. The lighting effects make them appear lighter than the really are, but they definietly are Indian women and very beautiful. My grandmother was 1/4 Cherokee and she was dark and very beautiful. Her mother was 1/2 and looked full blooded and a very beautiful women. I never knew either of them because both were gone before I was born. My grandmother died when my father was only 12. True, the Mongolians spread their blood far to the west
