The culture and music must evolve & grow.. and for that you must go through a darker time, which we had since around 01/02.. but the last few years so many great new artists have came out. The lyricism is back in place, the flows, the talent.. everything. Stop focusing so hard on Wayne, Young Money, 2 Chainz, and all that bullshit and blaming that for the "death" - ignore the wack - stop focusing energy there.. and focus on the good, the talented MC's, and change your mind-state on the music.

You're clearly looking in the wrong places for what you consider "real Hip-Hop". Are you watching MTV or BET? Listening to the radio? Yeah, 99% of that is bullshit and become pop, but we have the internet! Meaning you can go back 25 years and listen to anything. You can find new artists and MC's. Right now, we have Kendrick, Ab, ScHool Boy, Jay Rock, Slaughterhouse, XV, Big KRIT, Danny Brown, Action Bronson, Joey Badass getting shine.. the talented MC's are outweighing the wack right now.

According to Action Bronson He gets a lot of his inspiration from MTVs very own Riff Raff. Therefore I like MTV now, kidding

I agree. For me I was born in 91, so I grew up when Eminem, DMX, 50 Cent, Game, Luda, T.I. all first dropped.. and Nas, Scarface, Jay-Z, and others were still dropping. But thanks to the internet and the want to learn I was able to know KRS, Sugarhill, Rakim, Kool G, Kane, Wu, De La Soul, and so on.. and know who Afrika Bambaataa and DJ Kool Herc are, etc. The talent today is not mainstream, it's underground again. Due to nostalgia no one ever thinks the current can match the past in anything.

Usually people who are getting the better of you in a battle of wits say "shit like that." It must be a fairly common occurrence for you. Anyway, I see that your ineffectual line of lame bitching has stopped so I have to assume that you choked on a set of balls.

Hip pop is all that exists today, sad but true. KrSone and the like has been underground for the sake of keeping real hip hop true to its roots. Public Enemy deserve more praise, they have been releasing albums almost every year for the past 20 years or so. anyone one can rap nowadays. shame kids wont know real rap/hip hop but just fed commercial BS that producers try and pass off as hip hop but call it (C)rap/hip pop. real artists play live just as good as listening to track tunes.

It is. Then again, I said AFTER 2002. Anyway... while I enjoy it, it's not really my era. I'm more 80's and 90's.
